🎨Spotlight on Patrick – Master of Traditional Japanese Tattooing

Patrick: Master of Neo-Traditional Japanese Tattooing

Patrick is a renowned tattoo artist based at Thirteen Feet Tattoo’s Circular Quay studio, specialising in bold and intricate Japanese tattooing. At just 26 years old, Patrick has built a name for himself through his mastery of neo-traditional Japanese styles, balancing bright colour, rich symbolism, and powerful visual storytelling. From full sleeves and back pieces to custom bodysuits, his work is known for its bold outlines, dynamic compositions, and deep respect for the cultural heritage of traditional Japanese tattooing.

His favourite work? Full Japanese arm sleeves. With these larger-scale pieces, Patrick incorporates dark, flowing backgrounds to make the foreground imagery pop, creating a high-contrast composition that moves with the body. Whether it’s dragons, tigers, snakes, gods, or demons, each design is approached with the intent to make the subject shine, without neglecting the supporting elements that bring it all together.

For smaller tattoos, Patrick loves crafting custom dagger designs, Japanese masks, floral arrangements, and one-off ideas brought in by his clients. His versatility allows him to move seamlessly between detailed micro-tattoos and bold, high-impact sleeves, while always maintaining clarity, flow, and meaning.

As part of the Thirteen Feet Tattoo collective, Patrick is surrounded by some of Sydney’s top artists in an environment that values both technical excellence and a tailored client experience. His work is a commitment to storytelling, rendered with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for both tradition and innovation. He is now now accepting bookings through our contact page.
